Under the center, a working group has been established to analyze and solve social challenges. Consisting of teaching and administrative staff and research fellows from various faculties and sections, this working group is a cross-sectional unit.

Since its establishment in June 2021, the working group has been committed to the solution of economic problems and gender problems, including period poverty.

Movies for Disseminating Information and Raising Awareness of Periods

Even though periods are an unavoidable phenomenon, a stigma is attached to them, arousing a sense of evasion or disgust. Some women feel embarrassed about or would like to hide the fact that they are having their period. Periods are socially regarded as taboo.

Lecture Meeting “Think about Periods towards Realizing a Society where Everyone Can Enjoy a WAGAMAMA Life”

Inviting Mx. Shiho Shimoyamada and Mx. Honami Uchiyama, the co-representatives of Rebolt Inc., which has developed Absorption-type Boxer Briefs OPT and other products, we organized a lecture meeting in which they shared their perspectives on sport and gender, their views on how periods should be regarded, their experiences, and other matters.
